Can AI trigger real emotions? An experiment with Krea AI Nodes
Can AI trigger real emotions?
An experiment with Krea AI Nodes
Of pixels and tears: I tried to use artificial intelligence to tell a story that gets under your skin. The result is a short film that raises more questions than it answers.
Do algorithms have a soul? That question sounds like science fiction at first. But when we look at how fast generative AI is developing, the philosophical question becomes a very practical one: can a machine make us cry?
In recent days I dared an experiment. My goal was to get away from the smooth, often soulless standard AI images and do real, raw storytelling.
The experiment: a girl, a dog and a tear
The story is simple but universal: a little blonde girl sits alone holding a photo of her dead dog. She sobs. Anyone who sees the clip feels that lump in the throat immediately.
You can watch the short clip right here:
The fascinating (and perhaps frightening) thing about it: this girl doesn’t exist. Every tear, every play of light and every sob was computed by an AI.
The technology: why Nodes are the game changer
For the implementation I used Krea AI , but not via classic text input (prompting), rather via the new Nodes system.
Why Nodes? Anyone who has ever tried to make a film with AI knows the problem: the characters look different in every shot. That lack of consistency kills any emotion instantly. With Nodes I have full control:
- Character consistency: The face stays stable throughout the entire film.
- Light & atmosphere: I can steer the melancholic mood deliberately.
- Storytelling: I connect “digital nerve pathways” to force exactly the result I have in mind.

The bonus: creating workflows by prompt
One of the craziest features I show in the video is the new automation. At first glance, Nodes can look like an unconquerable tangle of cables. But Krea now lets us create workflows by prompt.
You simply tell the AI: “Take a photo of me and create a workflow for a professional studio shoot with 4 portraits” – and the system builds the technical framework by itself in the background.
My conclusion: 0% reality, 100% feeling?
This experiment showed me that the barrier between human vision and technical execution has almost disappeared. AI is becoming a brush for real, human emotions. We no longer just steer pixels, we steer feelings.

What do you think? Is it creepy that a machine can touch us like that, or is it the next level of art? Tell me in the comments or discuss with me on social media!
