NEVER AGAIN “ROOM TONE” with DAVINCI RESOLVE 19
You shot an interview at the airport and in the edit you realize: damn, now I would need an audio recording without the chatter. A so-called “room tone”. With it you can join different takes more smoothly because a continuous background noise runs over the cut. DaVinci Resolve 19 is brand new as an open beta and has the solution for that. AI Voice Isolation has been around for a year! Now comes the Dialogue Separator. With it I can ALSO separate the spoken sound from the background noise. But – now I decide what I want to hear. The voice or the background? Voice GONE – perfect “room tone” left over. On a shoot I will miss it when nobody shouts anymore: Rolling! 30 seconds of quiet please, “room tone”
